From our workQovo

A plan built around the actual product.

In the Qovo takeover we retained the Rails backend and rebuilt the Flutter app. The right decision was different for each part of the product.

01

Your first useful step. Free.

A free initial audit with a written report in 2–3 working days after we receive the agreed materials and access. Prioritised findings, what to keep and a proposed next step. Yours to keep, with no obligation to continue.

We agree the product area and questions on the first call. Send the app URL or demo, known blockers and relevant read-only access. The report explains what to keep, priority risks and the work we recommend next, with an estimate for delivery.

The initial audit does not include implementation, a full penetration test or a compliance certification. Fixes, a rebuild and release work have their own agreed scope and price. There is no obligation to buy them.

02

What the code audit checks

We choose the relevant checks for the agreed product area. The initial review highlights priority risks and next steps; deeper testing belongs in the delivery scope when needed.

  • Authentication and data access: who can read and change which records, including admin paths and APIs the app never calls itself.
  • Secrets: API keys, service credentials and signing keys — where they live, who has them, and whether any ship inside the app or the web bundle.
  • Store readiness: signing, target SDK, privacy disclosures, account deletion, review notes and demo accounts.
  • Payments and reconciliation: checkout, subscriptions, webhooks, refunds, and whether what the payment provider says matches what the app grants.
  • Backups and restore: whether backups exist and whether a restore has ever actually been tested.
  • Monitoring: crash reporting, error tracking, uptime checks and who gets alerted.
  • Dependency risk: outdated frameworks, end-of-life runtimes and packages with known vulnerabilities.
03

What we need to start the audit

Start with the app URL or demo and your known blockers. We agree any read-only repository or account access needed for the initial review; the 2–3 working-day turnaround begins when those materials are available.

You keep ownership of the code, the cloud accounts and the store listings throughout. We work inside your accounts rather than moving your app into ours.

Questions about the audit

What access do you need to start?

Start with a URL or demo and your known blockers. We agree any read-only code or account access needed for the review. The report takes 2–3 working days after those materials arrive.

What if the audit finds it is bigger than expected?

We tell you what we found and what it takes before any further work. You decide.

Do you sign an NDA?

Yes, on request.

Who owns the code?

You do.

Where are you?

Alicante, Spain. We work with teams in the US and Canada; call times and working overlap are agreed together.
